Welcome to Garden Cottage.
Its a place to relax and unwind. Set in its own garden, surrounded by peace, wildlife and nature, you can turn off the TV, turn off the phone, and listen to the birds. Nature seems to abound on our estate. You will definitely see rabbits and squirrels, probably see our resident deer, maybe see buzzards, sparrowhawks, and heron, and if you are extremely lucky, a passing otter. No guarantees, but keep watching!
At night there is wildlife to hear too. We have resident owls, which you will often hear calling to each other - its an immensely peaceful, if slightly mournful sound. You are however highly unlikely to see them.
Garden Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one of which has a double bed, and the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a full size cot upstairs, and we are happy to supply bed linen for the cot at no extra cost.
We also have a futon which is located in the dining room, which can comfortably accommodate an adult or child. If you would like to use this, please let us know. It is available at a small extra cost.
Included in the price is all bed linen and towels, as well as a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and additional goodies. The contents of the welcome pack varies and depends on the length of stay, and the time of year.
The cottage has full central heating, and it is included in the price from 1 September to 1 June every year, usually for 10 hours per day, split between morning and evening. However, if the weather is unseasonably cold, or hot, this can be adjusted. If you would like heating 24/7 heating, please ask for a price. There are electric heaters in both bedrooms which can be adjusted by guests to suit.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine/tumble drier, microwave and toaster. It has well stocked cupboards with lots of pots and denby dishes. If you have any particular cooking needs, please ask.
We now have an EV charger. Please ask for rates for usage per night.
We have now been granted our Short Term Letting Licence. Our reference number is FI 00612 F. Yippee!!
